Arsenal is in negotiations about a loan arrangement with Newcastle United that will see Joe Willock move to St. James’ Park.
The midfielder is one of the players who could leave the Gunners before the transfer deadline of 11pm on Monday, with all potential departures being Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Reiss Nelson and Shkodran Mustafi.
Until the end of the season, talks are underway between Arsenal and Newcastle for Willock over a loan contract.
In all competitions this season, the 21-year-old has made 17 starts but has seen his playing time dry up considerably in recent weeks. He’s only started three of the last 16 Arsenal games and none in the Premier League after Wolves’ 2-1 loss on November 29.
Mikel Arteta admitted that players could leave Arsenal before Monday’s 11pm transfer deadline.
Arteta said “We have decided [who could leave on loan] and we are working on it.”
“You will find out before 11pm. I cannot speak about any individual players. What we want to do, the conversations we’ve had, the various reasons. Let’s see if we can get something done tonight.”
