Bayer Leverkusen wants to sign Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin

Bayer Leverkusen has allegedly entered the race to sign Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin.
The Gunners could sell the full-back this summer to fund some of the transfer targets for Mikel Arteta. Paris Saint-Germain was linked to Bellerin and a £25million bid is said to have been made.

However, Arsenal leaves its choices open with The Telegraph reporting that Leverkusen is a surprise candidate for his contract.

After Kai Havertz ‘s sale to Chelsea earlier this week the Bundesliga club has plenty of cash to invest in the transfer window.

In a transaction worth up to £70million, Havertz has been sold to the Blues and would undoubtedly reinvest some of it into their team.

The Spaniard, who is not the only right-back Premier League attracting interest from Leverkusen, is also known to be interested in Bayern Munich.

The Telegraph report goes on to state that Serge Aurier, of Tottenham, is also a player they track actively.

Spurs also signed Matt Doherty from Wolves, ensuring that Aurier fell further down the north London club’s pecking order.

Leverkusen is thought likely to go in for either of Bellerin or Aurier plus they need to replace Havertz’s offensive threat going into season 2020/21.
