The Spanish La Liga is one of the leagues in world football that is given much recognition as the teams playing in the league have lifted titles like the UEFA Champions League for a number of times and the players playing for the teams are strategic in their country football and have won various awards like World best player of the year award, with reference to players such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid)

His full name is Diego Pablo Simeone González and he was born on 28th April 1970. nicknamed El Cholo, he hails from Argentina and is a professional football manager and former midfielder of the Argentine side. The took up the managerial contract with Atletico Madrid on December 2011 and has been the manager of the team since then. He played with Atlético Madrid before becoming their coach and has been a figure to reckon with in the club’s history.

He has coached the following teams Racing Club, Estudiantes de La Plata, River Plate, San Lorenzo and Italian club Catania before Atlético Madrid and has won the following trophies: UEFA Cup, 999 UEFA Super Cup,  2000 Supercoppa Italiana, FIFA World Cups, King Fahd Cup, Copa del Rey, two UEFA Europa Leagues and two UEFA Super Cups,

Imanol Alguacil Barrenetxea (Real Sociedad)

Imanol Alguacil Barrenetxea is simply known as Imanol and was born on 4th July 1971. Before retiring from international football, he played with Spain as a right back winger and is currently the manager of Real Sociedad.

Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid)

Popularly known as Zizou, Zinedine Yazid Zidane was on born 23rd June 1972. Before his resignation from professional football, the French former professional played in the attacking midfield position.

Currently, he is managing the almighty Real Madrid and is one of the most successful managers in the history of world football. Zidane as a spotlight player while he still played, he won the following: FIFA World Player of the Year in 1998, 2000 and 2003, and won the 1998 Ballon d’Or, La Liga title and the UEFA Champions League. In the 2002 UEFA Champions League Final among many others.

Zidane hit a milestone by becoming the first coach to win the Champions League three times at a stretch, won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup twice each, as well as a La Liga title and a Supercopa de España. This huge achievement led to his being named Best FIFA Men’s Coach in 2017. After his resignation, he returned to the club as manager and has in 2019, and lifted another La Liga, this time as a manager.

Unai Emery Etxegoien (Villarreal)

Born on 3rd November 1971, Unai Emery Etxegoien hails from Spain was a former player of the Spanish team. He is the head coach of Villarreal currently.

His playing career was a modest one as he played pivotal roles.  The Spanish former professional started his coaching career after retiring from international football in 2004. He started his coaching career at Lorca Deportiva and had the club promoted to the Segunda División in his first season. Afterwards, he joined Almería and had them promoted to La Liga for the very first time in the history of the club. Subsequent to this, he signed up for a contract with Valencia and didn’t stop making waves as he led the team to top-three finishes. From Valencia, he made his way to manage Spartak Moscow which lasted for six months, before taking off to to Sevilla in 2013.

He became the manager of Villarreal in July 2020 and has been till date.

Ronald Koeman (Barcelona)

Ronald Koeman, the Dutch professional football manager and former player, was born on 21st March 1963. He is one of the best managers in Spanish La Liga 2020 and is currently the manager of FC Barcelona.

He was remarkably known to have the ability to play as a defender and midfielder and was accurate with long–range shots, free kicks and penalties.

While managing Ajax, he won two Eredivisie titles in 2001-02 and 2003-04 seasons and once with PSV (2006-07). He has both played for and managed the “Big Three” of Dutch football: Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord and is the only individual to have done this.

More so, he saw Los Che through to victory in the 2007–08 Copa del Rey, and has managed Premier League clubs Southampton and Everton in the 2010s. He was at the helm of affairs over the Netherlands national team between 2018 and 2020 before taking over the manager job at of Barcelona in August 2020.

Julen Lopetegui Argote (Sevilla)

Julen Lopetegui Argote is among the best football managers in Spanish la liga 2020 and is currently managing Sevilla FC, since 2019.

He has a Spanish origin and was a goalkeeper while he played for the following La Liga clubs Real Madrid, Logroñés, Barcelona and Rayo Vallecano for a total of 17 seasons.

Lopetegui started his managerial career in 2003 and led Spain’s national team for two years. The list of club football teams he has managed include Rayo Vallecano, Porto, Real Madrid and Sevilla.

Gracia Carlos (Valencia)

Javier “Javi” Gracia Carlos is one of the best football managers in Spanish La Liga and was born on 1st May 1970. While still in to international football, he played at the defensive midfield wing and was featured in 430 matches both major levels of Spanish football combined and spent a total of 15 years in his professional career. He is currently the manager of  Valencia.

The Spanish retired footballer has coached several clubs in Spain, Greece, Russia and also coached EPL club, Watford.

Diego Martínez Penas (Grenada CF)

Currently in charge of Grenada CF, Diego Martínez Penas was born on 16th December 1980 and hails from Spain.

The Spanish football manager was done with professional football at age 20 and started his coaching career afterwards.

He was an assistant manager in the 2005–06 campaign before he took over Tercera División, the first club he was the head coach in July 2006. Subsequent to this, the Spanish football manager took over the management of Motril CF for a period of two years.

He started managing Grenada in October 2009 and led the club to La Liga and they are doing well in the league

Manuel Luis Pellegrini Ripamonti (Real Betis)

Manuel Luis Pellegrini Ripamonti is among the best football managers in Spanish La Liga 2020 and was born on 16th September 1953. He hails from Chile and has been the manager of Real Betis since 9th July, 2020.

As a coach, the Chilean professional football manager and former player. he has managed teams in Spain, England, Argentina, Chile, China and Ecuador and has won national leagues in four countries.

In 2004, the Chilean moved to Europe to take the manager’s post at Villarreal and has remarkable achievements with the club as such as a third-place finish in La Liga in 2004–05, a Champions League semi-final in 2005-06 and a second-place finish in La Liga in 2007-08.

The aforementioned record led to his appointment as Real Madrid’s head coach in 2009.

He won Football League Cup and Premier League with Manchester City in his first season of taking up the club’s head coach role. This feat made him become the first manager from outside Europe to lead a team to the English Premier League title.

Luis Garcia (Mallorca)

Luis Javier García Sanz is one of best football managers in Spanish La Liga 2020 and hails from Spain and played at the left-wing position before resigning from international football. Aside being naturally left-footed, he was quite good with the right too.

During his professional career as a player, he played for Barcelona and Atlético Madrid and others.

Garcia is currently the head coach of Mallorca.
