Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is September’s Premier League Boss of the Month, ahead of Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, Brendan Rodgers of Leicester City, and Dean Smith of Aston Villa.
Since 1969-70, the Toffees manager has helped his side to their best start to a Premier League season, winning all four 2020-21 opening matches, with three of those coming in September and leading him to land the MOTM trophy.
The last time they won their first four league games, Everton won the trophy, and it will be interesting to see them finish this season with the next Merseyside derby after the international break.
This summer, adding the likes of Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez to their roster has bolstered the Goodison Park outfit, and Ancelotti will be pleased with the standard of the players he has.
When they did, not many expected Everton to land such a calibre of boss, and he will be keen to guide them this season to a top-six finish and go forward.
Iker Casillas reacts.
