Malang Sarr has agreed a five-year contract with Chelsea on completing FOUR signatures this week as the Blues close in.He is high-rated and has played more than 100 games for the Ligue 1 side, but has opted to leave for a new challenge – and the teenager has been assessing his choices with great interest over the past few months.
Arsenal is said to have looked at the young defender when interest in Barcelona was speculated earlier this month.
Chelsea seems to have won the race for Sarr, however, as they have come to an agreement with him on a five-year deal.
This is according to Telefoot in France, who also claim Sarr will sign for the Blues but then be immediately loaned out to a club in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
The free transfer of Sarr is likely to be confirmed in the next few days now that an agreement has been reached between the two sides and he will become the FOURTH signing of the week for Chelsea.
Unlike Sarr, Thiago Silva, the former Paris Saint-Germain center-back, is expected to join the Blues on a free transfer having reached an agreement on a one-year contract following his exit from PSG, while Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell are close to signing in £90 m and £50 m respectively.
Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, both of whom joined Chelsea earlier this year, follow this haul of new signings.
