Football News, Facts from Premier League

Christian Eriksen to be sold by Inter Milan

Despite joining the Milan club EIGHT only months ago, Christian Eriksen appears to be nearing the end of his career with Internazionale.
Eriksen finally secured his desired exit from Tottenham at the end of the January transfer window, becoming one of the marquee signings at Inter on a £17million deal by Antonio Conte. But the playmaker from Denmark has failed to live up to Italy’s expectations, starting only eight league matches and being named on the bench for Sevilla’s Europa League final defeat last month.
He scored just one goal in Series A and even his creative abilities were limited with only two assists recorded between his arrival in Italy and the end of the extended season 2019/20

And, as a result, Inter are prepared to cut their losses and SELL Eriksen after only EIGHT months!

But they will not let the 28-year-old leave on the cheap, according to Corriere dello Sport, with Inter allegedly demanding around £45m (€50m) for Eriksen.

Doubts are raised in the aforementioned report over which clubs could afford such a hefty fee, especially right now given the financial implications of coronavirus, but it is claimed some agents are starting to talk to English clubs over a possible Premier League return for Eriksen.

During his time with Tottenham, Eriksen played 305 games and managed an excellent return of 69 goals and 89 assists.
