Diogo Jota to return to Liverpool squad hopefully by early February – Pearce
According to James Pearce, by early February, Diogo Jota is expected to return to Liverpool training.
Jota, who joined Liverpool from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of £45 million in the summer transfer window, picked up a knee injury on December 9 against FC Midtjylland.
The 24-year-old made an immediate impression at Anfield, and his passion and imagination are badly lacking in Liverpool.
The goalscoring exploits of Liverpool have dried up in recent weeks, and in their last three Premier League games, the Reds haven’t hit the net.
Pearce said yesterday that Jota is supposed to return by ‘early February’ in the Athletic post-match debate.
