Flick praises Lampard as Bayern aim to tackle Chelsea
Hansi Flick lauded the “extraordinary” influence of Frank Lampard at Chelsea – but the Bayern Munich manager expects to leave his opposite number dejected for a second saturday in succession.
Last weekend, when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s double gave Arsenal the glory at Wembley, Chelsea suffered final disappointment from the FA Cup.
Already they are facing the more difficult challenge of trying to reverse a first-leg 3-0 deficit against Bayern in Munich, after the German giants scorched in February to a spectacular victory at Stamford Bridge.
Bayern’s completion of their mission may seem a mere formality, but Flick has usually carefully planned for the game and says his squad would have no problem concentrating.
