As Manchester United defeated Fulham on Wednesday night, Paul Pogba put in another brilliant display and scored an excellent winner.
As the Reds prevailed 2-1 on the banks of the Thames, the French midfield maestro was dominant in the win at Craven Cottage.
Pogba produced space for himself at the edge of the box in the 65th minute, after Edinson Cavani had pulled us back on equal terms, following Ademola Lookman’s opener, and showcased his world-class ability. The long-range shot curled by the Frenchman passed a helpless Alphonse Areola and secured another United victory away from home, our eighth overall campaign in the Premier League.
“It was a hard game,” he, when speaking to BT Sport after the game according to official website.
“We knew it would be difficult here, they don’t give up, they press, they stay compact behind. We concede a goal and went behind and knew it would be hard and we had to come back. We needed this win and we got it the hard way.”
“I hit it well,” he said with a smile on his face.
“I didn’t expect my left foot to be like this. You know, if you don’t try you don’t know what’s going to happen. I’m really glad the ball went in. It was a beautiful goal and a beautiful victory. That’s the most important.”
