Lewandowski is the best striker, extraordinary but Lionel Messi is from another planet, says Vidal

Arturo Vidal is well aware of the danger posed by Robert Lewandowski ahead of the quarter-final with Bayern Munich in the Champions League in Barcelona, but remains confident that Lionel Messi is giving the Catalans the advantage.

“Lewandowski is extraordinary, very dangerous, a tireless scorer,” Vidal told reporters ahead of the clash on Friday. “I was with him three years; I know how he prepares. It will be very difficult to stop him.”

In the end, both Barca and Bayern came fairly comfortably through their last-16 games, the side of Quique Setien beating Napoli 4-2 over two legs and the German champions smashing Chelsea 7-1 on aggregate.

These emphatic development, combined with their shape after the coronavirus-enforced pause, has led many to find Bayern to be the front-runners for the title.

“But comparing him with Leo [Lionel Messi] is impossible, because Leo is from another planet, although Lewandowski is the best striker alongside Luis Suarez.”

However, things do happen, especially in Football. Giving the dramatic comeback of PSG yesterday in Champions League clash with Atalanta when all hope seems gone, Barca can do wonders, they are good at this.
