Liverpool emphatically wins Tottenham, bounces back for title contention

At the top of the hot spot, there is still a lot of ground to make up for Manchester City, but the champions rediscovered their form at Spurs nevertheless. And here, in north London, once again, it began to purr.

In terms of both its meaning and its execution, Liverpool’s victory was emphatic. A worthy 3-1 victory over Tottenham that shot the men of Jurgen Klopp back into the top four and, perhaps, back into the title race as well.

Then there was Trent Alexander-Arnold, the beacon for the recovery of Liverpool. A goal and an assist for the full-back Scouse, who after a winter dip was pretty much back to his best. Klopp’s side, who were a notch above their rivals throughout, could not be prevented by another centre-back problem.
Alexander-Arnold was the dealer, causing Joe Rodon issues with his excellent cross and helping Mane to ram home 3-1.

Enough of struggles, Liverpool closed the game with concentration and resolve, epitomized by the relentless hustling of Milner and the consistent guidance from the back by Henderson.

They might be back for title contention.
