Man Utd have signed Alejandro Garnacho on five-year deal

Manchester United has won the race to sign sought after atletico Madrid teenager Alejandro Garnacho.

United, among others, fought off competition from Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund to secure the signing of the highly-rated 16-year-old.

Marca claims a five-year feat will be signed at Old Trafford by the young striker, who came through the ranks at Atletico and was playing for their U19 side.
Garnacho is the latest played in Spain to join United’s academy after they also sealed off deals for Real’s Alvaro Fernandes and Barcelona’s Marc Jurado.

Garnacho, described as the ‘jewel’ of Atletico Madrid, may have to wait for his chance to break into the United first team, but with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s focus on youth he’ll feel there’s going to be an opportunity at Old Trafford in the horizon.

So far Solksjaer has added only one high profile to his squad, with Donny van de Beek joining Ajax in a £40million deal.

United will continue to pursue their top summer target, Jadon Sancho, but will look to get other deals over the line before the transfer window closes in October.
