Man Utd to sell midfielder Fred to Turkish side Galatasaray

According to rumors, Galatasaray is thought to eye up a bid for Man Utd midfielder Fred.
The position of the Brazilian at Old Trafford is under pressure as the club remains linked to Donny van de Beek of Ajax.
He played regularly at the start of last season but the signing of Bruno Fernandes also diminished his chances.
According to Turkish outlet Fotomac (via Talksport), Galatasaray is now hopeful to sign the player on loan with an option to buy.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is open to selling Fred to raise funds for its summer offers, according to the article.
In the most recent season, Fred played 29 Premier League games, with no single goal or assist.

Compare that with Fernandes, who contributed to 15 goals in 14 Premier League games, and it’s clear to see why the player could very easily be offloaded. The money raised from selling Fred will likely fund United’s first major summer signing.

They ‘re the only club out of the big six that have so far failed to sign a single player. Chelsea has invested more than £ 130 million and Spurs, Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal have all added to their ranks.

City has signed two young players alongside Ferran Torres and Nathan Ake. Meanwhile Spurs took captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso and Joe Hart to Southampton.

United supporters will be keen to see Solskjaer get some encouragement during this transfer window. He managed to steal Leicester’s fourth place but now he needs to boost his squad to strengthen that spot.

United has been closely linked to Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund, but the deal is not working.
