Manchester United is said to be the favourites this summer to sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, but only if the Blues are not seeking a large fee.
Owing to a string of injury setbacks, Two-time Premier League champion Kante was limited to just 28 appearances in all competitions.
Leaks indicated that the winner of the World Cup could be able to leave this summer as Blues manager Frank Lampard continues to reconstruct his squad before the 2020/21 campaign.
Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid have in the past also been linked to the 29-year-old, though Antonio Conte, an Inter manager, is known to be interested in his signature.
Kante was instrumental in the landmark Premier League success of Leicester City in 2015/16, before securing a £33 m move to Chelsea.
The diligent midfielder captured his second consecutive championship with the Blues during the following season, under Conte’s leadership.
Emerson has failed to maintain a regular position in the defense of Lampard and it is suspected that the club is ready to listen to Italian offers.
Conte has been attacking England ‘s top-flight since taking over at the San Siro last summer to sign Victor Moses, Christian Eriksen, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Ashley Young.
