Mark Bosnich supports Kasper Schmeichel for Move to Manchester United

The 33-year-old has been on the books of the Foxes since 2011 and won the Premier League title with the club in 2015-16. Former United goalkeeper Bosnich has given his take on the speculation, and he believes that Schmeichel would be a good signing for the Red Devils. The Express quotes Bosnich as saying: “When he’s playing well, he’s as good as any goalkeeper in the Premier League. He’s won a title with Leicester, he’s been very consistent at international level for quite some time as well. Obviously, when Leicester were in the Champions League he performed very well. “We don’t know exactly with the David De Gea situation, we saw Ole Gunnar Solskaer back him and keep him in the side. There’s Dean Henderson as well, but I think that would be a fantastic move for both parties.

The Express quotes Bosnich as saying: “He is as fine as any Premier League goalkeeper when he’s playing well. He’s won a championship with Leicester, he’s also been quite successful for quite some time at international level. Of course he did very well while Leicester was in the Champions League.
“With the David De Gea situation we don’t know exactly, we saw Ole Gunnar Solskaer back him up and hold him in the side. Dean Henderson is still out there, so I think it would be a great step for both parties.
“And though they want to retain David De Gea, having someone of Kasper Schmeichel ‘s caliber competing for a spot with De Gea will carry the entire level up a cup of notches.
