Nigeria ‘s international full-back Ola Aina is expected to join Fulham on a season-long loan with an option to purchase from Torino, according to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano. The 23-year-old spent the last two seasons with the Serie A giants, leaving Chelsea permanently last summer after a season-long loan in Italy.
Fulham is landing a quality defender who brings experience to the table and it’s going to be fascinating to see how Craven Cottage is faring.
Before joining Hull City on loan for 2017-18, Aina played six games for the Blues, and has evolved in leaps and bounds ever since. While the Nigerian is mainly a full-back, as a wing-back he is also comfortable and can play on both the left and the right.
The intending Fulham defender has eight assists and a goal over the last three seasons, and manager Scott Parker will be hoping his defensive and offensive skills can come handy as his side looks to hold on to their top-flight status by the end of 2020-21.
Aina, a graduate of Chelsea Academy, will love the chance to eventually prove reach the Cottagers in the English Premier League without the chance at Stamford Bridge.
