Ramos can play until he´s 40, Ex-Real Madrid team-mate Van der Vaart said

According to former Real Madrid team-mate Rafael van der Vaart, Sergio Ramos is the best defender in the world and can continue playing until he’s 40.

Ramos was very successful in helping Madrid end the LaLiga success story of Barcelona, scoring 11 goals as the squad of Zinedine Zidane was first crowned champions since 2017.

The Spaniard was signed as a teenager from Seville in 2005, and was still young when Van der Vaart joined the club, who spent two seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu before joining Tottenham in 2010.

Having watched as his old club won the championship again, however, the Dutchman is pleased with how Ramos has progressed and, taking into account his physical health, he sees no reason why the 34-year-old would be thinking of retiring early.
