Sell Pogba now “if United want money” – says brother

The brother of Paul Pogba has warned Manchester United that if they wish to earn a transfer fee, they need to look into selling him now, saying that he will be able to move on a free transfer once his contract expires in 2022.

The Frenchman has been continuously associated with a move away from Old Trafford, having at some stage been vocal about his aspirations to embark on a new adventure overseas.

The 27-year-old announced back in October 2020 that playing for Real Madrid was a long-held “dream” for him, and the decision of United to invoke the one-year extension clause in his deal did little to curb uncertainty regarding his future.

“He is happy. He is improving his game,” his brother who plays for Racing Murcia in Spain told El Chiringuito.

“He has a year left on his contract. I don’t know [if he will stay until then]. I can’t help you right now.

“The only thing I can say is if United want money, they have to sell him now. That’s the only thing I can say. If not, he’ll go for free.

“I haven’t heard anything about him renewing his contract.”
