With only five and a half weeks to go until the next Premier League season, the Summer Transfer window for 2020 is heating up with a number of clubs in negotiations to sign new stars.

Manchester City revealed last night their first signing of the transfer season when Ferran Torres completed the move from Valencia formally on a five year contract.

There were no more signings announced yesterday by top-flight clubs, but there is still plenty of uncertainty left.

Manchester City is set to follow up on Ferran Torres’ signing for Nathan Ake’s recruiting. The club has decided to pay £40 m for its contributions to Bournemouth and the Dutchman is now undertaking a team treatment (Sky Sports).

Upon invoking the £10.9 m release clause of the Real Valladolid center-back Mohammed Salisu deal, Southampton is expected to improve their defense. No new replacements are expected at the center of their backline unless there is a possible departure from the team (Sky Sports).

Chelsea is on the lookout for a new left-back and they appear to be back in line for signing Ben Chilwell. Leicester City originally requested £ 80 m for the England Player, but following lengthy talks (Football Insider) the Blues are now hopeful to sign him for £50 m.

The discovery of Jadon Sancho seems to be going nowhere by Manchester United. A future deal has been discussed containing instalments, but the Red Devils are also confident that they will not accept the £108 m asking price from Dortmund. In case Dortmund fails to lower the price tag (The Telegraph) they are able to walk away from negotiations.

On Tuesday night, Fulham sealed their return to the Premier League for the first time asking. The West London side is now able to contend with Southampton for Kyle Walker-Peters’ assets, which Tottenham Hotspur has priced at £12m. In January they avoided signing him on loan.

After their long-awaited promotion, Leeds United were expected to bolster their attack and have set their eyes on signing Said Benrahma from Championship side Brentford. Algeria international is also on West Ham United and Aston Villa watch, rated at £25 m. (The Daily Mirror).

Manchester City on Tuesday night (BBC Sport) announced the signing of Ferran Torres from Valencia for a £20.87 m contract. The Spaniard has been signed as a backup for Leroy Sane who last month made the move to Bayern Munich. The 20-year-old will play in all large forward positions, but in his short yet exciting career he has played more on the right wing.
